Armonico

I am very fond of Armonico, as I am an "original" Armonico homeowner. I saw Armonico rise from the desert, and  closely observed as each home was built. As the daughter of a custom homebuilder, It was thrilling to see the neighborhood develop. Of the three builder model homes (Tierra, Montana, Ladera), my final choice was the popular Montana model, although I had originally chosen the 2-story Ladera. I chose the lot Memorial Day weekend 1997, and moved into my new home in mid-December 1997. I have copies of the original floorplans, elevations, feature sheets and builder price sheets for all models. Developed by the Centex Corporation (now a part of Pulte Homes),  Armonico is a neighborhood of 195 homes. Armonico is located in the northeast corner of McDowell Mountain Ranch, where E Bell RD meets McDowell Mountain RD.  It is situated between the McDowell Mountain foothills and the McDowell Mountain Community Center.

Armonico homes range from 2,409 to 3,527 square feet. Three of the nine models are 2-story, with the Ladera being the most popular. Two of the three 2-stories were offered with optional  bonus rooms,  with a walkout to the 2nd story balcony. The bonus room increased the square footage as much as 3,833 square feet.  All models were offered in three different exterior elevations. Each home was required to be a different elevation from the neighboring home, as were the exterior paint choices.
 
In 1997 the pricing began at $269,700 for the 2,409 square foot Tierra model and went as high as $330,500 for the 3,527 Ladera model.
